Bio: Jaron Chong MD, MHI, FRCPC is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Imaging at Western University. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at McGill University with an Abdominal Imaging fellowship at Yale New-Haven Hospital and a Masters in Health Informatics at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests include cross-sectional abdominal imaging, Abdominal/GU oncologic imaging in MRI and CT modalities, with research interests in the appropriate utilization of medical imaging and AI-assisted augmented radiology. He also serves as the Chair of the Canadian Association of Radiologists Artificial Intelligence Standing Committee.
Bio: Sarah Mattonen, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Western University in the Department of Medical Biophysics with a cross-appointment in the Department of Oncology. She holds the inaugural Gerald C. Baines Research Chair for Translational Cancer Imaging at the London Regional Cancer Program and is a Scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute. She received her PhD in Medical Biophysics from Western University in 2016 and completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University in the Department of Radiology in 2019. Her research interests include developing, evaluating, and translating quantitative image analysis and machine learning tools to support diagnosis, treatment, and response assessment in oncology.
Bio: Jaryd Christie, BSc, is currently a CAMPEP PhD candidate in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. He completed his BSc at Western University in 2019 with an Honours Specialization in Medical Biophysics. His research focuses on risk stratification in lung cancer patients using radiomics and machine learning on pre-treatment CT images.
